Tomb Raider: Chronicles
When tomb raider 1 came out in 1996, it proved to be one of the best games around. 4 sequels later Lara is still going strong, in possibly her best adventure to date. Still retains its few graphical problems, but aside from that, its addictive gameplay makes it another stunner. With more insights into Laras enemies Larson and Pierre from tr1, and more about the golden girl herself, this game plays like a movie. Definiteley worth buying!

A Fantastic End To A Great Series
So, the last game in the Tomb Raider series to hit Playstation2. Any good? Why, yes! Lara has done it again. The first game promised something special and it has provided a fantastic plot, graphics, and gameplay with every offering. Tomb Raider 1 and 4 are undoubtably the best, but that does not mean Chronicles is some lacklustre effort! This is the perfect game to polish off a sparkling series. It is a strange premise for a game to revolve around the memorial service of its lead character, but it is pulled off with excellent FMVs and original plots. Rome sees the return of Larson and Pierre from the first game, and their demise is quite comical (Pierres is worth seeing a few times!). With a great training area thrown into the first level (optional, so not to annoy the pros), it starts the game promisingly. The second level sees Lara visit a Russia, breaking into a military base and onto a submarine. Tricky in areas, although the actual underwater level is alittle odd as it lacks shine and is very short, with a medi-pack-eating dash for air. The third level sees Lara lose a few years to when she was 16yrs old and holidaying in rainy Ireland with Winston, the Butler. A spooky journey around a haunted island proves to be quite difficult in places, but good level design keeps the player interested - despite the annoying bad guy! The final level is Von Croys tower block, and sees some of the best ever levels seen in a Tomb Raider game, rivalling St. Francis Folly, Tibetan Monastry, Crash Site and Alexandria. With a strong feel of a Matrix influence, the player sees Lara donning a PVC catsuit, gagging security guards, surviving plunging lifts, swinging from poles, defeating super-robots and having more stylenstealth than Metal Gear Solids Snake could ever hope for. The dash down a collapsing corridor under fire from a helicopter blasting through the windows is a shocking, adrenaline-pumping exhilirating run-for-your-life- moment that only Lara could pull off. TR;Chronicles is a brilliant game and ends the series perfectly, answering the question Is she dead or alive? for us at the end - at last we know for sure! Youll have to play the game though to find out the answer!

Tomb Raider Chronicles Review
Tomb Raider Chronicles is the fifth of Lara Crofts adventures. There are 4 themes to the game, Ireland, a German U-boat, Rome and a tower block. The control system has been tweaked and there are a couple of new moves. These are tight roping and the ability to use hand to hand combat for once. You can also search cupboards for items similar to in Resident Evil. The main part of the game though is left untouched, so really its just another update for the Tomb Raider series. However the series is still as brillint as it ever was so this piece of gaming should not be missed.
